This relaxing one-day kayaking trip will take you downstream, where you will witness the local fishermen hunting their fish in a traditional way, and admire the beauty of the National Park. We will stop to visit some remote villages along the river and have a local style picnic on the riverbank. We will continue to paddle down the rapids until finally ending the kayaking trip with a drive back to town enjoying the mountainous scenery along the way.

Luang Namtha – Ban Soptud – Ban Sopsim – Ban Hadyong – Luang Namtha
Once we load the equipment and water bottles into our transport, we will head southward where the remote villages are. We will start paddling our kayaks from the Lantan village. Your guide will brief you on the basic instruction of double kayaking so you can enjoy paddling along the water safely. Further down the river, there are more rapids and amazing wilderness and nature. On the right-hand side is the Namha National Park with some big old trees and where your eyes might spot various species of birds including the kingfisher. We will stop by the riverbank to have a Lao picnic lunch and to chill out and take a swim. After lunch we continue paddling further along the river, hopefully catching some exciting rapids (weather dependent). We stop to visit some villages, the Khmu and Tailue villages who live along the riverbank. You will have an opportunity to interact with the fishermen and locals doing their daily work. You will continue paddling in kayaks until we stop to drive back into town on off-roads for a couple of hours where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.

A great day in the nature. We started our tour in an authentic Lanten village. Have some money with you for the granny, who want to sell some handicraft bracelet. At the beginning its not so easy to understand, when the boat has to go left or right. But in a short while you get it. The nature is amazing. Im proud, I saw a Kingfisher bird. The water is warm. The rapids are a little challenge but not really dangerious. We were laughing a lot. The food on a banana leaf was very good. Thanks for this experience to the company and our guide. Fritz (65!)
