Luang Namtha – Ban Soptud – Ban Sopsim – Ban Hadyong – Luang NamthaOnce we load the equipment and water bottles into our transport, we will head southward where the remote villages are. We will start paddling our kayaks from the Lantan village. Your guide will brief you on the basic instruction of double kayaking so you can enjoy paddling along the water safely. Further down the river, there are more rapids and amazing wilderness and nature. On the right-hand side is the Namha National Park with some big old trees and where your eyes might spot various species of birds including the kingfisher. We will stop by the riverbank to have a Lao picnic lunch and to chill out and take a swim. After lunch we continue paddling further along the river, hopefully catching some exciting rapids (weather dependent). We stop to visit some villages, the Khmu and Tailue villages who live along the riverbank. You will have an opportunity to interact with the fishermen and locals doing their daily work. You will continue paddling in kayaks until we stop to drive back into town on off-roads for a couple of hours where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
