Day 1
Luang Namtha – Nalan Neua – Chaleunsouk Village
Start your trekking and kayaking adventure driving a half an hour to the south, to the Chaleunsouk village where we start the trek. There you will meet our village guide who will assist us in the jungle. During the first part of the hike, we will walk up to the top of the mountain, then along the ridgeline of the mountain range to take in some breathtaking views, until we descend through the wondrous dense forest. Lunch will be served along the way. We then walk parallel with a stream towards the Nalan Neua village nestled on the Namha riverbank. Accompanied by your local guide, you will spend time walking around the village, interacting with the locals and learning about local culture before beginning our final mountain hike to the remote village where we will spend the night, arriving just before dark. The village’s chief will organise a host family for us to stay with, where you can participate in cooking dinner with your local homestay family and share a meal with them.2
Day 2
Chaleunsouk Village – Soptoud – Heuayleud – Hadyong – Luang Namtha
The day begins with an hour drive from the village, receiving brief instructions of double kayaking and paddling safety on the way. We then start paddling along the stunning riverside, enjoy floating down the river, taking on rapids and beholding the amazing wilderness of the Namha National Park on your right-hand side. Witness local wildlife around you and fishermen go about their daily work. You will have a picnic lunch made from local organic food on the peaceful riverbank and then can take a swim in the cool, calm water. Afterwards, we will continue on down the river, stopping to visit some villages sporadically along the way until we will arrive at Hardyong village where we end our kayaking trip and drive back to the town off-road for an hour.Maximum 9pax | Price per Person |
