Luangnamtha – Ban Chalensouk – forest hike – Ban Namleu – Ban Phieng NgarmWe depart from the hiker office, drive southward for half an hour to Ban Chaleunsouk where we pick up our village guide. We start by ascending up the mountain for about an hour and half. We continue hiking through the mountain ridge in bamboo forest until we separate out from the old hunter trail to the primary forest trail. We soon descend down the mountain ridge until we reach a dry stream. We walk along it until we stop to cook our local style lunch. You will learn how to cook by using organic ingredients collected from the natural wilderness. Then we hike onward along the stream where there are a lot of big old trees and some wildlife also recorded in the area. Continue walking for a few hours until we reach the valley of the villager’s rice fields, witness how they work in the farms. Soon we walk out to our transit car waiting on the main road. On our drive back, we visit the Lantan village of Ban Namleu and Taideng village of Ban Phieng Ngarm.
